I am a crafting addict.
I love all that artsy, diy, handmade stuff. I am constantly finding a new hobby and diving in head first. I have dabbled with over 20 different mediums and disciplines. There is just so much cute stuff waiting to be made!!!
During my lifelong love affair with art and crafting, I have followed countless artists and craftspeople on social media, attended every craft fair I could find, and spent many hours browsing through Etsy. I have noticed so many budding business owners with one foot stuck in that hobbyist stage.
I studied web design in college and knew that a well-designed website and brand is just what they need to fully step into their role as business owners.
So I started The Lavish Circle Design Studio to help creative makers and doers transition from hobbyist to business owner through effective, easy-to-use websites and beautiful, consistent branding.

About the name
Why “The Lavish Circle”?
It started as a play on the name of the street I grew up on, a very important place to me. But it also embodies my design and business philosophy.
The circle represents simplicity and utility. A circle is a basic geometric shape but it is also the basis for tools like the wheel and machine gears.
The word lavish has two meanings. The first describes something that is luxurious or impressive. The second means to give generously.
“The Lavish Circle” epitomizes not only what I do, but how I do it. I make simple, easy to use websites and brands that looks amazing. And I deliver them with generous, attentive, one-on-one service.
About the Logo
My logo mark is an enso circle, which I think perfectly illustrates the concept of a lavish circle. An enso circle is a Japanese zen symbol that represents beauty in imperfection, simplicity, or diversity. Ensos are drawn as a meditative practice. Once the artist’s mind is clear, the enso is drawn with permanent ink in a single, swift, and continuous stroke. Ensos are a pure and intimate expression of the artist at that moment in time. Each enso is unique. Such a simple form that has complex variations.
Shin Jin Mei, zen teacher said, “An (enso) is a vast space, which does not lack anything, nor does it have too much.”
The Enso represents exactly what we strive for at The Lavish Circle: simple brands and websites that are unique and representative of each business owner and that are everything they need to be and nothing that they don’t need to be.
